Mud Daubers are wasps that build their nests with mud. They size anywhere between 1/2 inch and 1 inch in length. These mud daubers are common to the south, and they tend to build their homes on the walls of our homes.
Mud Daubers are not likely to sting, however caution must always be taken when removing their nests.
We commonly find their mud-made nests on the homes of our customers. Whether you have vinyl siding, stucco, or other material, mud daubers have probably made themselves at home in your home.
A hose or power washer at low pressure can remove their nests easily! Old nests are safer to remove than ones that still house the wasps. If you are going to try to remove a nest that has wasps living there, consult your local pest control company!
